Visualize Your Shot

In Harvey Penick’s Little Red Book one of his lessons is Take dead aim; “Take aim at a spot on the fairway or on the green, refuse to allow any negative thought to enter your head, and swing away.”
To me this is about having a clear vision for where you want your ball to go; landing in the middle of the fairway, sailing onto the green out of a bunker, or falling into the cup. I find when I concentrate on where I want my ball to go and see it in my mind, my golf score improves.
You can use this same concept to impact the success you have in your business; take dead aim, visualize what you want and not what you are trying to avoid. One of the sand traps, or pitfalls, you can fall into that will keep you from success is not taking the time to visualize what a successful business and life looks like. You can visualize your success by:
Give yourself permission to take the time to actually think, feel, dream and visualize what success means to you.
Ask yourself: “If I could have three wishes come true, what would they be?”
Write out your vision and post it and read it daily.
Create a vision board; a poster board filled with photos and prose that depicts your vision.
Create an affirmation that reflects your vision and repeat it several times a day; “I am enjoying making ten thousand dollars a month from my business.” “I love the harmony in my life because I take vacations.”
By visualizing your shot and your success, both your game of golf and your game in your business will improve.
