Your golf ball is your friend. Watch it, trust its path of flight, have fun with it, but also know when to let go of it. Lost ball? Let go, move on and get another one.
“Don’t cry over spilt milk, or in this case, a lost ball! Keep the game of golf, building your business, and excelling at your career moving!
How many times do you just fall in love with your new Calloway Warbirds, only to lose the first one in the water hazard on the right? Or, you spend five minutes looking for your precious ball in the rough? “I just know it’s around here somewhere!”
Taking lots of time to find lost balls has its consequences:
- Slows the play of the game
- Can cause frustration with your partners
- Can cause even bigger irritation with the foursome behind you
- Interferes with your flow of the game
- It ultimately can affect the outcome – your score
Translate spending too much time looking for lost balls into how you are either growing your business or excelling at your career:
- Do you get too attached to “things”?
- What thoughts go through your head when you lose something?
- Do you have a tendency to get distracted and spend lots of time on something that is not important?
If you feel your business-growing and career-enhancement have become stalled, explore your answers above and
- Practice detachment
- Create positive and supportive mindsets
- Stay focused on clear goals and set time limits
Keep moving Foreward!
